Jonathan Farrell Brown, 62, of Sycamore, Mayor and caretaker of Brownsville, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Farrell was born on December 7, 1956 in Ashburn to the late Calvin Grayer Brown and Christine Elizabeth Watson Brown. He was a retired electrician and a member of Sycamore Methodist Church. He was also an Eagle Scout. Farrell was an all Tiftarea football player for the Turner County Rebels.
He is survived by his mother, Christine Watson Brown of Sycamore; daughters, Kasey Brown of Albany and Kayla (Damarious) Farley of Chula; son, Cory Brown of Louisville, Kentucky; brother, Chris (Debbie) Brown of Sycamore; sister, Darlene (Danny) Connell of Lexington, South Carolina; grandchildren, Roman, Rolland, Rodney Jr., Riley, Raelyne, Alayka, Ania, Aryanna and Alexus.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2019 at Sycamore Methodist Church with interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sycamore. the family will greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
