Funeral Services for Ashley T. “Dick” Hart, Sr., 85, of Ashburn, GA will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at The New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Mr. Hart passed away Thursday, April 25 at his residence following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The son of the late George Harris and Laura Johnson Hart, he was born in Ashburn and was a retired farmer for Orchard Hill Farms. He was a member of the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church and loved to fish and hunt and his farming. He always loved having his personal garden at his home.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Hart and his second wife, Shirley Jackson Hart, his daughter Jennon Hart, his son, John Davis, eight sisters and three brothers.
Mr. Hart is survived by his children, Ashley T. Hart, Jr., Melvin Hart and Michael Davis all of Jacksonville, FL and Royce (Jana) Hart of Green Cove Springs, FL., 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a sister Lena Farrell of Jacksonville, FL.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, May 3, from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
