Karen Akin Wynn, 68, of Ashburn passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Karen was born on June 24, 1950 in Tifton to the late Arthur V. Akin and Marguerite Jeannette Ross Akin. She retired from the Turner County Board of Education where she was a teacher for many years. She was also a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Doston Wynn of Ashburn; mother, Jeannette Ross Akin of Ashburn; daughter, Emmie Lou (Brad) Rigdon of Ashburn; granddaughters, Josie Rigdon of Ashburn and Lillie Rigdon of Ashburn.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home Tuesday.
