Bro. Wynton Lee, 89, of Sycamore passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at his son's home in Florida.
Bro. Wynton was born on October 12, 1929 in Turner County to the late Jessie Washington and Mary Jo Davis Lee. He was a Senior Woodsman for Champion International Paper Company. He was also still an active minister. Bro. Wynton served as interim pastor for many years at several local churches. He was member of Sycamore Baptist Church. Bro. Wynton served his country with honor in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He is survived by his children, James Alan Tuck of Sycamore, Kenneth (Kay) Lee of Fleming Island, Florida and Sherry Lee of Montgomery, Alabama; sisters-in-law, Laurette Ward of Ashburn, Carolyn Lee of Arabi and Shirlene Lee of Ashburn. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Latrelle Coker Lee.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment services will be private. The family will greet friends immediately after the service.
