Joseph Charles "Cebo" Summers, 94 of Ashburn passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn.
Affectionately known as "Cebo" he was born on May 19, 1923 to the late Joseph Emory and Leona James Slocumb Summers. He was a retired farmer, painter and school bus driver for the Turner County School System. Cebo served his country with honor in the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman who loved to sit outside under his barn and feed the birds. He also loved to watch the Atlanta Braves. More than anything else he loved his great-grandchildren who always brought a smile to his face.
He is survived by his son, Dennis (Sherry) Summers of Ashburn; grandchildren, Michelle (Josh) Owens of Rochelle and Megan Summers of Ashburn; great-grandchildren, Branson Owens of Rochelle, Jackson Owens of Rochelle and Maeson Owens of Rochelle.
The family will receive friends at Perry Funeral Chapel Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
