Virginia Mastrario, 92 of Ashburn formerly of Mullica Township, New Jersey, Atlantic City, New Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Born on May 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Sarah Louge Cassell. She was a member of the Catholic faith, a homemaker and she also ran a small hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey for many years. She was affectionately known as "Ginny" to her friends and family.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Sue) Mastrario of Sycamore and Tony (Karen) Mastrario of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey; daughters, Terri DiPietro of Ashburn and Gina Mastrario of Ashburn; sister, Ann Mae (Ray) Settenbrine of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; son-in-law, Robert Hunter of Atlantic City, New Jersey; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Mastrario; a daughter, Philomena Hunter; a son, Guy Mastrario; brothers, Mike Cassell, Dominic Cassell, Tony Cassell, Joe Cassell and Johnny Cassell; sisters, Julie Modesta and Catherine Mellaccio; son-in-law, Louie DiPietro.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until the hour of services. Private inurnment services will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at a later date.
