Maurice "Pumkin" McLeod, 82, of Ashburn passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on February 9, 1935 in Live Oak, Florida to the late Fred and Cordelle Robinson McLeod. Mr. McLeod was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his sons, Andre (Diane) McLeod of Ashburn and Fred (Barbara) McLeod of Cordele; daughters, Myra McLeod Windham of Ashburn, Cynthia McLeod Purcell of Chula and Carolyn McLeod of Ashburn; sister, Elsie McLeod Swafford of Blontstown, Florida; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Elizabeth Bonnell McLeod and a sister, Evonne McLeod.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends Monday, March 20, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
