Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Childs Farmer, 87, of Sycamore, GA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Farmer passed away Monday following an extended illness. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery, Sycamore, GA.
The daughter of the late Felix Wallace and Dula Stewart Childs, she was a homemaker and retired from Gold Kist Peanut Company. Mrs. Farmer was a faithful member of The Sycamore Baptist Church and was an avid Bingo player. She enjoyed going to gospel sings and loved her cats.
Mrs. Farmer was the widow of the late Charles A. Farmer. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Childs Taylor.
Survivors include her sister in laws, Lucille Brooks of Port Charlotte, Fl,, Dot Farmer, Ashburn, GA and Bobbi Farmer of Sycamore, GA and her brother in law, Robert (Avie) Farmer of Sycamore, GA. Also surviving is a special niece, Brenda (Ray) Cox of Ashburn, GA and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the hour of services at Perry Funeral Chapel.
