The funeral services for Mary Roberts Kersey, 68 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Perry Funeral Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Mrs. Kersey passed away early on January 15, 2017, after fighting long term illnesses. She was a loving wife, mother and “Rinne” to her Grandson. Mary spent her life as a jack of many trades, most notably running her own Bookkeeping and Accounting firm for well over thirty years.
Mary, known for her infectious laugh and warm demeanor, enjoyed fishing, watching Atlanta Falcons games and home improvement shows and always found a way to make people laugh and smile when needed most.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, D’ethlyn and Emory Roberts and her son, Jamie Kersey. She is survived by her loving and loyal husband, Albert Kersey, Jr. of Milledgeville; children, Tammy Morgans-Gough of Eatonton and Albert (Lyn-Marie) Kersey III of Lawrenceville; grandson, Cody Morgans-Gough, along with her siblings, Emory (Maxine) Roberts; Joe (Debbie) Roberts and Bonnie Roberts Farr, of Albany, GA, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from 11:00 to 12:30, and funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel, 301 McLendon Street, Ashburn, GA, with burial to follow in the Rainey Cemetery.
