Delores Downs Little, 74, of Sycamore passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at Golden South Nursing Home following an extended illness.
The daughter of the late Warren Leonard and Clara Mae Rickerson Downs, she retired from the Turner County Board of Education where she was a bus driver. She was also a homemaker and a member of High Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Allen Little and his companion Mary Gore of Chula; daughter, Regina Maureen Little of Albany; step-daughter, Marie Little (Bryant) Wilcher of Hiawassee; brother, Clinton Downs of Fitzgerald; sister, Frances Downs of Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Rebecca Little, Eric Carter, Candace Carter Whitley, Suzy Cox Douglas, Emily Hawsey and John "Dawkins" Ennis.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Little was preceded in death by her husband Luther Lamar Little, a step-daughter, Sherlene Burkhart, a brother, Earnest Down and a sister Shirley Whittle.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 24, 2016 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the funeral home.
