Funeral services for Cora Lee Suggs Howard of Fitzgerald, Ga. will be held Thursday, September 29th at 3:00 p.m. at the Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn, conducted by the Reverend Michael Lamb of the Church of Christ in Fitzgerald. Interment will be private at a later date. Mrs. Howard died Thursday in the Pruitt Nursing Home in Fitzgerald following an extended illness. Mrs. Howard was born in Worth County, Ga. on February 28th, 1926, to the late Jarrett Hosea & Alma Inez Reynolds Suggs. She moved to Fitzgerald in 1935 and was married to Leonard Howard in 1950. They lived in Warwick, Ga., and she worked at the Coats and Clark Thread Mill in Albany until her retirement in 1988, after which she moved back to Fitzgerald. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Fitzgerald. Mrs Howard was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Howard and sister Doris Suggs. She is survived by two sisters, Bernice Hageman of Fitzgerald, Ga. and Tiny Van Koellmer, Kennesaw, Ga. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of Christ in Fitzgerald.
