The funeral services for Guy Nolin of Ashburn, Ga. will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 21, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Ashburn, GA. Interment will be held 11:00 A.M.(CDT), Monday, August 22, 2016 at Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark, AL. Mr. Nolin passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016, after an extended illness.
The son of the late Eldredge Huey Nolin and Berta Lee Whitaker Nolin, he was born in New Brockton, AL. He was preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers and a great-granddaughter. He was the owner of Nolin Steel. He was a sheet metal mechanic while he was in the Navy. He loved to fish and enjoyed woodworking after retirement.
Survivors include his wife Frances Nolin of Ashburn, GA; one son, Thomas Franklin (Lorna) Nolin of Mexico Beach, FL; one daughter, June Guynette (Ron) Nolin Wilson of McKinney, TX; one sister, Mary Emma Whatley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one sister-in-law, Mildred Nolin of Mobile, AL; three grandchildren, Amanda Leigh Nolin Kirschke, Grant Tyler Nolin, Heather Ashley Wilson and five great-grandchildren. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Ashburn, GA.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, August 20, 2016, from four until six at Perry Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church, Ashburn, GA
