Memorial services for Billy Walker Baggett, 83 of Ashburn, GA will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Sycamore Baptist Church. Mr. Baggett passed away Friday, June 03, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.
The son of the late Olaf and Grace Walker Baggett, he was born in Fairfield, AL and was a retired self employed brick mason. He was a Former officer with The Ashburn Police Dept and Turner County Sheriff Dept. He was a member and deacon of The Sycamore Baptist Church as well as member of the Housing and Grounds committee for the church. Mr. Baggett served in The United States Marines. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Magalene Turner Baggett.
Survivors include his daughter Beverly Baggett of Ashburn, his grandchildren Staff Sgt. Bill Baggett, Denver, CO and Sarah (Austin) Willis, Nashville, GA; his great grandchildren, Madysun Willis, Levi Willis and Hunter Willis. Also survivoring is a niece Judy (Don) Strickland, Mobile, AL.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM til the hour of service at Sycamore Baptist Church.
