Funeral services for Wanda Jean Fansler Goode, 87, of Deland, FL will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn, GA. Private interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Tifton, GA. Mrs. Goode passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 after an extended illness with Alheimizers disease.
The daughter of the late Syrus Fansler and Ella Blankinship Fansler Altizer, she was born in Newcomb, TN on January 25, 1929. She was a retired beautician and housewife. She was a loving daughter, wife and mother.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Goode of Deland, FL; her son and daughter in law, David (Diane) Saville of Virginia; her daughter, Doris June Thomas of St. Augustine, FL, four grandsons and three great-grandchildren; one step daughter, Phylis (Jerry) Hall of Manfield, MO; four step-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Erval Fansler, and a step-daughter, Patricia Petty.
The family will receive friends Wednesday morning, May 11, 2016, from ten until the hour of service at Perry Funeral Chapel.
