Bobby Lee Blaine, 74, of Ashburn passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at his residence.
The son of the late Harry William and Minnie Parker Blaine, he grew up in the north Georgia mountains. Bob retired from NAPA Auto Parts, starting in counter sales and working his way up the ladder to become a top sales manager, winning many company awards and accolades along the way. His career took him from Atlanta to High Point, NC, and then back to Atlanta. After retirement, Bob and Amyee moved to Ashburn, her home town, and made it their home. He put his family first, always willing to lend a hand when asked.

Bob was a competitive golfer in his younger days, winning or placing in many tournaments. He is a former member of the Goldwing Club, and he and Amyee took several road trips on his motorcycle. He was a talented woodworker and a knowledgeable mechanic, and he usually had a project going on in his shop. Bob was a huge fan of western movies, with John Wayne being his favorite. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, going often with his son, Kevin, and he especially enjoyed treating his family and friends to his famous fish fries. Most recently, he became an avid card player. Bob lived his life to the fullest, doing the things that he loved with the people that meant the most to him.

Mr. Blaine is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Amyee Smith Blaine of Ashburn; son, Kevin Lee (Billie) Blaine of Havana, Florida; sisters, Margaret Blaine of Douglasville and Cathy Blaine of Jasper; niece, Pam (Larry) Daves; great-nieces, Madison and BayLee Daves of Vilonia, Arkansas; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He was a member of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Blaine.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29, 2016, 11:00 AM at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
