Virginia Nelson

Funeral services for Virginia Hornsby Nelson, age 82, 857 Reynolds Lane, Jacksonville, Florida will be held Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Nelson died Tuesday at Morris Center, Jacksonville, Fl. following an extended illness.

Mrs. Nelson was born in Turner County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Elmo J. & Ruby Jane Luke Hornsby. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Turner County, Ga. She had resided in Jacksonville for many years.

She is survived by four sons: Steve Nelson, Deepstep, Ga., Larry Nelson, Jacksonville, Fla., John David Nelson, Ashburn, Ga. and Jerry Nelson, San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Ginger Horton, Jacksonville, Fl.; thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn, Ga.
