Horace "Buddy" McDonald

Funeral Services for Mr. Horace “Buddy” McDonald, 74, of Rebecca, Ga. will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 9, 2005 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rebecca. Mr. McDonald passed away Monday at Ashburn Health Care following an extended illness.

The son of the late Eddie and Willie Suggs McDonald, he was born in Worth County, Georgia and attended the Rebecca Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army in Alaska from 1955-1958. A retired farmer he loved hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 sisters.

Survivors include his wife Shirley Sunday McDonald of Rebecca, Ga. his sons, Wade Edwards McDonald of Alexandria, LA. and Michael Scott McDonald of Rebecca, Ga.; His sisters, Helen Cannon of Newman, Ga.; Pearlie Foster of Atlanta, Ga. and Joyce Walls of Ashburn, Ga. His grandchildren Jessica and Benjamin Edwards, Alexandria, LA.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from Six till Eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
