Hugh M. Hardy

Funeral Services for Hugh M. Hardy, 84, of Sycamore, GA will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Inaha Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Inaha Cemetery in Turner County. Mr. Hardy passed away in Tifton, Saturday, December 12, 2015 after an extended illness.

The son of the late John Mallory Hardy and Lila Ann Swain Hardy, he was born in Sycamore, GA on September 20, 1931. He was a retired Research Technician from Coastal Plain Experiment Station now known as UGA Tifton Campus. He was a member of Inaha Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a song leader for over 20 years.

Survivors include his wife Nettie Rose Ward Hardy of Sycamore, GA, two sons Hugh Allan (Audrey) Hardy, SR. of Sylvester, GA, Jimmy D. Hardy of Sycamore, GA, two daughters Melanie Hardy of Tifton, GA, Dana (Freddie) Cheek of Sycamore, GA, one sister Brenda (Jimmy) Lee of Sycamore, GA, nine grandchildren, Hugh Allan Hardy, JR., Heather Ruth Hill, Heath Ivey Hardy, Lee Massey, Justin Dean Hardy, Jay Mallory Hardy, DeAnna Lynn Sauer, Daniel Doyle Cheek, David Lee Cheek, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at Inaha Baptist Church.
