Mary Stephens

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Pearce Stephens, 78, of Ashburn will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Sycamore Baptist Church in Sycamore, Ga. Interment will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Ga. Mrs. Stephens passed away Wednesday at Ashburn Health Care following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Broward Co., Fla. to Bazel Jackson and Mary Eva Harvey Miller. Mrs. Stephens was a homemaker and a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church. She lived in Crisp Co. for a long number of years before moving to Turner Co. over twenty years ago. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clinton C. Pearce in 1973 and Leroy C. Stephens in 2002.

Survivors include her sons, Larry (Carol) Pearce of Bryon, Ga. and Jerry Pearce of Ashburn, Ga. Her grandchildren Clinton and Jennifer Pearce, Mauldin, S.C. and Katie Pearce, Macon, Ga. A nephew, Glenn Miller, Cordele, Ga.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 till 9 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
