J. B. Newell, Sr.

J. B. Newell, Sr., 77, of Ashburn passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Born on January 15, 1938 in Worth County to the late George Albert and Emma Lou Brown Newell, Mr. Newell was retired from the Turner County Road Department. He was also a member of Harvest Assembly in Wenona, Georgia.

Mr. Newell is survived by his wife, Inez A. Newell of Ashburn; son, J. B. (Connie) Newell, Jr., of Sycamore; daughter, Becky (Ray) Guy of Ashburn; Brother, James Newell of Ashburn; Sister, Everlina Mauldin of Ashburn; Grandchildren, Kenny (Amanda) Guy of Sycamore, Jessica (Glen) Conley of Ashburn, and Jennifer (Chad) Perdue of Ashburn; great-grandchildren, Kensington Guy, Gracie Conley, and Sawyer Perdue.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 1 PM until the hour of services.
