Funeral Services for Mr. C. L. Jackson, 70, of Tifton will be held Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Amboy Baptist Church in Turner Co. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Jackson passed away Tuesday at his residence following a lengthy illness.

The son of the late Wade Hampton and Thelma Louise Ambrose Jackson, he was a member of the Amboy Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Music Director, Former Sunday School and Training Union Teacher. He was retired Bookkeeper for the Turner Co. Board of Commissioners. A veteran of the U.S. Army he was a longtime resident of Turner Co. before moving to Tifton 10 years ago.

Survivors include his wife Ann McCurdy Jackson of Tifton, a sister in law, Margaret Sumner of Tifton, a niece Dr. Loraine Sumner of Macon and a large number of cousins. His special caregivers, Ruby Brown and Judie Cooper both of Tifton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 till 9 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
