Doris Davis Lewis, 96, of Leesburg, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Lee County Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.
The daughter of the late John Dan and Letcher Cooper Davis, Mrs. Lewis was a member of First Baptist Church of Arabi. She was also a longtime resident of Crisp County before moving to Ashburn.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James David Lewis; a son, Dan R. Lewis; and her sisters, Evelyn D. Humphries, Dora D. Wisham and Mary John D. McCorvey.
Included among her survivors are the children of her sisters, John R. Humphries, Lindora W. Snyder, Mary Donna Mc. Beman and Miram Mc. Harris.
Funeral services will be held graveside, 10:30 AM Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Oak Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery prior to the service.
