Estelle Guy

Funeral Services for Estelle S. Guy, 78, of Ashburn will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at 11:00 AM in the Macedonia Baptist Church in Tift County. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Guy passed away Friday evening at her residence following an extended illness.

A native of Irwin Co., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Alexander and Annie Mae Yawn Sumner. She had resided in Turner Co. most of her life and was a member of the Victory Church of God in Tifton. She owned and operated Guy’s Day Care Center in Tifton for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Guy, an infant son, a brother James Sumner and two sisters, Magalene Nixon and Irma Nixon.

She is survived by her children, William Thomas Guy, Norman Park; Lloyd Oneal Guy, Milledgeville; Betty Baggett, Ashburn; Faye Wilson, Tifton; a brother, Eddie Lee Sumner, Ararat, Virginia; 10 Grandchildren and 29 Great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 till 9 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
