Daphen Speight

Funeral Services for Mrs. Daphen Watson Speight, 69, of Ashburn, Georgia will be held Sunday morning, October 24, 2004, at 10:30 at the gravesite in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Speight passed away Friday at her residence after a lengthy illness.

A native and lifetime resident of Turner Co., she was the daughter of the late Doyle Everette and Bessie Maude Story Watson. A retired school teacher from the Turner Co. School System, she was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Julian Wayne Speight, Sr. of Milledgeville, Ga., a son, Julian Wayne Speight, Jr. of Ashburn and a brother K. Glenn Watson, Martinez, Ga. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven M. Speight in August 1959.
