Dorothy C. Blanton

Memorial Services for Dorothy C. Blanton, age 72 of Ashburn will be held Saturday October 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church. Mrs. Blanton died Wednesday in Ashburn from the injuries received in an auto accident.

Mrs. Blanton was a native of Suwannee County, FL the daughter of the late James Edward and Josephine Eara Neeley Copeland. She had been a resident of Ashburn for over 40 years and was a member of the Morningside Baptist Church. She was employed by Tift Regional Medical Center in the Lab Dept. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Danise Kowalczk and three brothers Elbert, Ralph, Eugene Copeland.

Survivors include her son Marvin Thomas III, Ashburn, GA and her daughter Karen Lynn (Toby) Rose, Evans, GA and her grandchildren Jennifer Thomas, John Thomas, Matt Thomas, Joshua Kowalczk, Tucker Rose and Jack Rose and her twin sister Doris (Arthur) Boatright, Live Oak, FL.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from Six until Eight at the funeral home.
