Farrell "Bud" Carter

Funeral Services for Farrell “Bud” Carter, age 74 of Ashburn will be held Sunday September 8, 2013 at 2:30 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Carter died Friday at his residence after a brief illness.

Mr. Carter was born in Floyd County, GA the son of the late Howard P. & Frances Thompson Carter. He was a retired Machine Operator at Kelley Manufacturing and was self-employed with Clark & Carter Bait & Tackle of Ashburn. He was of the Baptist Faith, he was an avid Coon Hunter, and enjoyed spending times with his family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Eloise Clark Carter, Ashburn, and his children Stacy (Lynn) Carter, Kathleen, GA and Chad Carter and Vanessa (Bobby) Sylvester and his grandchildren Sumer Carter, Carter Sylvester, Colton Sylvester, Lee Sylvester and a Great Grandchild Lex Sylvester all of Ashburn. His brothers Wayne (Karen) Carter and Leroy (Wanda) Carter both of Cordele, GA and his sisters Violet Watson, Vienna, GA, Glenda (Johnny) Rhodes, Cordele, GA and Marlene Scott, Columbus, GA.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from Six until Eight at Perry Funeral Chapel
