Sarah Lathem Ray

Funeral Services for Sarah Lathem Ray, age 84 of Sycamore will be held Thursday July 25, 2013 at 2:00 P. M. at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn with burial to follow in the Lakeview Cemetery. Mrs. Ray died Monday at Tift Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mrs. Ray was born Aug. 22, 1928 in Lathemtown, GA the daughter of the late William Arthur and Winnie Garrett Lathem of Sycamore. She was retired from Tift Regional Medical Center as a Switchboard Operator, she was the Voice of T. R. M. C. She was a member of the Sycamore United Methodist Church and served as Mayor of the City of Sycamore and also on the city council. Ms. Sarah loved her family, her yards, flowers and fishing. She also loved the Atlanta Braves.

Survivors include her husband Tommy Williams, Sycamore and her son Michael (Lynn) Ray, Westminster, CO and her daughter Carole Ray, Sycamore and her grandchild Megan (Rob) Bailey and great-grandchild Braiden Bailey, all of Dacula, Ga.

Family will receive friends Thursday July 25, 2013 from 12:00 until 1:30 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
