Aaron Vernon Rogers, Sr.

Funeral services for Aaron Vernon Rogers, Sr., 78, of Sycamore, GA will be held Wednesday, January9, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Rogers died Monday at Golden Living Center in Tifton following an extended illness.

Mr. Rogers was born in Irwin County, GA, the son of the late Arthur R. and Johnnie Green Rogers. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class. He served in the United States Army and was an avid fisherman. He was retired from Rogers Bridge Construction.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn D. Rogers, Sycamore, GA; one son, Aaron V. (Jean) Rogers, Jr., Mount Airy, Maryland; one daughter, Susan R. (Bud) Feirick, Elkhart, IN. Also surviving are two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00-2:30 at Bethel Baptist Church.
