Betty Jordan

Funeral services for Betty Jordan, 74, of Ashburn will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Jordan died Thursday at Tift Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. Jordan was born in Ashburn, the daughter of the late, Byron S. and Emily Bessie Clark Oliver. She was a homemaker and retired secretary and clerk for State Farm Insurance and a retired Hotel Manager. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the last surviving charter member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was the widow of Jere Jordan who died in 1995.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ray & Ruth Ann Jordan, and one grandson, Matthew Jordan all of Ashburn. Also surviving is her sister, Blanchie Belle Jordan, Sycamore, GA; her sister-in-law, Pat Oliver, Ashburn, GA and several nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends, Friday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
