Mr. John Wiley “Big John” Wimberley, 68, of Ashburn died Friday at Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at The House of Prayer in Ashburn.

Mr. Wimberley was born in Twin City, Georgia the son of the late Henry,Sr & Mildred Wrye Wimberley. He was a retired self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the House of Prayer of All Nations in Ashburn. He was a dedicated worker with Westside Ministries.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Leyba Wimberley, Ashburn, GA, three daughters, Roxanne Elizabeth W. Perry, Yvonne “Michelle” Sylvester, both of Ashburn, GA, and Amanda Caroline Wimberley, Tifton, GA. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Matthew Wiley Wimberley, Ashley Perry, John Singh Sylvester, Lola Reynolds, & Landon Reynolds and one great grandchild, Quartez D. Perry.
He is also survived by two brothers, Henry Wimberley, Jr., Flora Home, FL, & Walter J. Wimberley, Twin City, GA and two sisters, Elizabeth W. Hester & Sandra W. Poole, both of Twin City, GA.
