Lois S. Corbitt

Funeral services for Lois S. Corbitt, 93, of Fitzgerald, Ga. will be held Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashburn, GA. Mrs. Corbitt died Monday in Fitzgerald Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Corbitt was born in Sycamore, Ga., the daughter of the late John S. and Mary Jackson Sconyers. She was a life long resident of Turner County before moving to Fitzgerald eleven years ago to be with her daughter. She was a member of the Sycamore Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was a retired Public School Teacher and held a lifetime teaching certificate. She was the widow of John R. Corbitt.

Survivors include her children, Alan (Sandra) Corbitt, Orlando, FL and Carolyn (Ed) Drexler, Fitzgerald, GA.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
