Lillian Hammock

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Chafin Hammock, 69, of Tyty, GA will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Mrs. Hammock passed away Thursday at Tift Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Tift Memorial Gardens in Tifton.

The daughter of the late Willie William and Lizzie Trudie Johnson Chafin she was born in Dublin, GA. She lived in the Dublin area for several years before moving to Tift Co., GA. She was a retired book keeper for Goodyear Service Centers in Dublin and Tifton. She was a member of The Vanceville Congregational Church in Tift Co., GA.

Survivors include her husband, Huelen I. Hammock of Tyty, GA.; her daughters and son-in-laws, Kathy and Christy Cooper and Tina and Greg Wood all of Tifton. Her four grandchildren, Austin Cooper, Dustin Cooper, Hope Wood and Taylor Wood all of Tifton. Her brothers, Raymond Chafin, Dublin, GA and Robert Chafin, Canton, GA.

The family will receive friends Saturday from noon until the hour of services at Perry Funeral Chapel.
