LaRue Burnham Griffin

Funeral services for LaRue Burnham Griffin, 76, of Tifton, Ga. will be held Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Griffin died Wednesday at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Griffin was born in Eastman, Ga. and was the daughter of the late Bill and Hattie Burnham. She was raised in Rhine, Ga. before moving to Tifton many years ago. She was a retired nurse from Ashburn Health Care. She was a member of the Georgia Nurses Association and was of the Baptist faith. She was the widow of the late Ralph Ray Griffin, Sr.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray & Charlotte Griffin, Jr. and Glenn & Belinda Griffin, all of Tifton, Ga. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda Griffin, Ralph Griffin, III, and Cole Griffin, all of Tifton, Ga. Also surviving is one sister, Nina Jackson, Atlanta, Ga.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
