W. Ben Walker

Funeral services for W. Ben Walker, 50, of Ashburn, will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ashburn First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Walker died Thursday at Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Walker was born in Turner County, Georgia and was the son of the late Benjamin “B.E.” and Margaret Ann Overstreet Walker. He was a member of the Ashburn First United Methodist Church and was the owner of Walker Appraisal Group, LLC. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, Beta Tau Chapter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Debbie Walker and Donna W. McCombs.

Mr. Walker is survived by one son, Will Walker and one daughter, Heather Walker, both of Ashburn, Ga. Also surviving is one brother and sister in law, Mike and Janey Walker, Ashburn, Ga. and the mother of his children, Debbie Walker, Ashburn, Ga.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
